Inmate Property Disposal
On occasion, upon an inmate being transferred to another facility, i.e., the Missouri Department of Corrections, inmate personal property stored at the Callaway County Jail can be not be transferred to the accepting facility due to differing facility rules, policies, and/or procedures. Should this occur, the Callaway County Jail will maintain the inmate's personal property for 30 days. During that 30-day period, the inmate shall forward an official notice, by U.S. Jail, to the Callaway County Jail Administrator outlining a transfer authorization. After 30 days, if the personal property remains at the Callaway County Jail, it will be destroyed.
