Process Service

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office is responsible for serving all court process (civil and criminal proceedings) throughout the county, including within the municipalities of Fulton and Holts Summit.  This includes court issued summonses, subpoenas and evictions.  Annually, the Sheriff's Office serves approximately 3,000 court process documents.

If you have a question about when a document may be served or if you are expecting some sort of document service from the Sheriff's Office, please call us at 573-592-2454 or email our process server.

Please contact an attorney or the Callaway County Circuit Clerk if you have questions about petitioning the court for a civil proceeding, such as a court ordered eviction.  The Sheriff's Office is prohibited from providing legal advise as to the petitioning process, albeit, the agency will fulfill statutory obligations concerning document service.
