The property and evidence section handles the thousands of pieces of evidence and personal property that moves through the Sheriff's Office each year.
Property and evidence related to a criminal investigation often cannot be disposed of until either the statute of limitations expires or until after a case has been adjudicated in court. Additionally, a court disposition order may be needed prior to property release.
